Every month here at The Watermark at Rosewood Gardens we explore a different culture, era or holiday with our themed meals. We have hosted many, from “An Evening in Paris” to “Prohibition Night” to our fabulous “50’s Diner,” we always have the best time dressing up and creating a memorable menu, taking pictures with silly props and finding fitting entertainment.
Last month we feel we outdid ourselves with our first ever “Safari Theme Dinner”. The evening started out with a BOOM. The boom of drum beats from the incomparable John Waller & Company. John brought with him another drummer and two truly amazing young African dancers. We were thoroughly entertained as they played and danced during the cocktail hour. Oh and the cocktails were pretty terrific too! A special “Jungle Juice” created especially for the event by our kitchen crew!
We even had an unexpected visit from a very real looking live gorilla that apparently resides on our second floor!
Once in the dining room residents were treated to a special African Beef Stew and Pork with fresh Fruits. They also had the opportunity to pose for phots with some truly unique (in this part of California) wildlife.
Can’t wait for our next dinner adventure!
