Seniors Helping Seniors is once again narrowing a 60+ year generation gap by joining together students from Livermore High School and residents from The Watermark at Rosewood Gardens.
One resident, Emil Cigliuti, impressed the students by showing up to the first meeting wearing his vintage Livermore High School letterman sweater. According to Emil, “I think it is great the kids are coming to our home to learn with us, they seem so much more enthusiastic than I think they would be learning alone in a classroom.”
Student Jacob Lester commented, “It has been a learning experience for all of us just to understand what it feels like to grow older.” The whole idea is for students to gain experience in designing and manufacturing a useful product.
